I understand that the switch is there for a reason. I did'nt roll of the Mayflower!LOL! Yes there is a bypass wire that has current to it. I also check all the relays & there is current to them all. I went under the drivers side of the truck to listen to the fuel fuel pump come on when the key was turned on. The pump responded to the power to it with a short whine then silence. Is there two pumps to this truck? Could'nt hear any noise by the fuel tank! Also still have no pressure cummin out of valve on fuel rail. Yes there is fuel in the truck. Also have spark to the distributor!! OUCH! I also have power going to all of the FI connections. What else can I do???
Matt, your truck does indeed have two fuel pumps, an in-tank low pressure unit, and an in-line high pressure pump mounted on the frame rail. Did you try taking off the gas cap and sticking a piece of hose or other tubing into the filler spout and holding it to your ear while the key is turned on? If the in-tank pump is working, you should be able to hear it distinctly that way. The frame-mounted pump, you can hold your hand on it and feel it vibrate as the key is turned on to verify its operation. If the in-tank pump is bad, you will either have to drop the tank or pull the bed to access it. People say pulling the bed is actually easier. Hope this helps. -TD

Also replace the inertia switch, if your in an accident and a fuel line breaks, the pump will empty the tank onto the road, could be a VERY bad thing if your stuck in the truck and there's a spark.
I have taken all of your advice. Sorry to say that all the valid responces did not work. The last one was to make sure the fuel pump in the tank was turning on. Which when tested it did when the key was turned on. Question? If you hear the pumps come on dose it mean they are pumping fuel? Also I have been looking for a fuel filter but can't find one. Any help on finding one?
Usually the filters are on the frame rail up by the firewall on the driver's side. Could be different on your truck, but I believe it is usually there. If you don't mind making a mess..... release the fuel pressure (if any) by disconnecting the bypass you have where the inertia switch is, and crank the engine. Then remove the hose from the fuel filter and tape a 2L bottle to the end of it. Go up in the cab and turn the key for just A SECOND. Alot of fuel should spray into the bottle if the pumps are working good. You can do the same thing on the other end of the filter if you have some spare hose and clamps. About the same amount should come out. Just a little ghetto test.
Also, I don't remember if anyone mentioned this already, but if you have the vaccume FPR on the fuel rail....... check to see if it is full of fuel. Not positive, but I think a tear in the FPR diaphram will dump the fuel into the vaccme lines. It is worth the 30 seconds to check.
I pulled the line off the back of the fuel filter.I had my son turn the key on & off while I had the hose in a 1 Gallon bottle. Much to my surprise NO fuel came out! Now mind you I hear both pumps come on.Also I had about pint of fuel come out of the filter. Can both pumps be bad or clogged
There is a filter screen on the end of the pickup tube in the fuel tank, it could be plugged, or there could be an obstruction elsewhere in the lines. I would now disconnect the fuel lines from the HP pump, since it is easiest to get to, and check for any blockage at the pump or in the lines. You can examine the pump at this time as well. -TD
I went threw ever check I could. I started in the front by pulling the line off the back of the fuel filter. I got a pint flowing out of it but thats all.I put the line in a gallon jug cranked the engine No Fuel. Then I took the line off between the fuel tank & the black round box on the frame Sorry don't know correct name . Tested it again no fuel came out of the line but both motors did whine the stopped. I think the motor in the tank is no good. I took the motor out Tested it still did not pump. I would think this is the problem??? Let you all know tomorrow new pump on order
After changing relays, rear fuel pump,& blowing air threw all the lines. The truck still is not getting fuel to the engine.I can spary fuel in the throttle body to get it to run but it just dies when I stop. I can't get any codes to come up off the ecm. Call me crazy or at the end of my rope but could the ECM be bad?If so how would I know?
Are you getting fuel to the injectors? Is the roll over switch maybe tripped? (Not sure if trucks have em like the cars) If your getting fuel pressure at the rails then yeah maybe computer.
