What have you all done to your trucks to make them so fast to beat trans am's and camaros. I can see depending on model that you can take them, but from personal experience, I would think it would take a lot to beat a TA. I ordered my 05 f-350 6.0L last week and can't wait to get it. I'm going to the track a little bit after i get it also to see how it really compaires to my TA.

am i to assume that the 12.7 was on slicks? these can run into the high 13's with a little practice. and a tuner or programmer.

In order to flat out-run a Trans am or cobra mustang, you will need some mods past the point of a normal tuning module and exhaust system, but those are what you need to start with. The SERIOUS parts will start showing up early 2005....when that happens, all but the most heavily modded "muscle" cars can catch a whiff of my trailer hitch as I go by...

One v-10 I had ran out at 91 the other ran out at 100, the 6.0 runs out at 93 no way of telling what it is supposed to be. I know of one that went to 83 and quit...hum...

Thanks for all of the useful links Tim.

bighoss550 - The 12.7 was on normal street tires

I'm not planning on doing to much to my truck, just maybe exhuast and chip. It is mainly going to be used for business. My car is my play toy.

In my case, ktplotts, I beat him at the light. Plus 4X4 engaged...+ RPM tag to about 1200.

Only had to take him the first 75 feet or so before he ran out of lane.

My 04/04 F250 6.0 stops even at the 100 mph point. My 99' 250 gasser 5.4 would stop at 93 or 94 mph.
