The guy had to stretch the front of the Bronco (read: forward of the door) 11 inches to fit it in there. He also stretched the rear a few inches, not sure of how much.
It seems that someone frequently someone pops in here to ask about putting a big block in, but I've yet to see a successful one besides the one I listed above. If you do it, let us know how it works out. Preferrably with step-by-step pictures and a write up.
I remember a few years back that there was an early Bronco in four wheeler magazines top truck challenge that had a 460 in it and it looked stock in bodily dimentions, so it must be possible, but its not a project that I would undertake due to the huge size and weight issues- if you want that many cubic inches put your time and money towards a stroked 351
a stroked 392 or such will fit nicly. BUT a gooooooooood running 351W will do what you want it to do, Put A BIg Smile On Your Face, big frown on the other guys.
I have to agree. The only big block swaps I've seen in our eb's were ugly hack jobs. With our light weight we can put a small block stroker in that will get the job done and then some.

No kidding-putting a big ol overweight pig of a 460 in an early Bronco would ruin some of its best traits!!!!
