Can anyone help me with this?
I'm installing a 460 and the attached C-6 out of a '79 f-150 and into a '79 F-100 that had a 302/c-4. I need to know what problems, if any i'm going to run into. I've already got the 302 out. I've also installed the mounting brackets from the F-150. Dont see any problems so far. the driveshaft out of the 150 was the 2-piece type and the one in the 100 was the regular type.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
As long as both trucks are the same (long bed, short bed) use everything from the truck with the 460.Especially the radiator (gotta keep it cool) and the drive shaft (front yoke has to be from the 460) everything else should be ok.the only other thing I can think of is you might have to move the tranny X-member,but you shouldnt have to change it(there are 2 sets of holes in the frame for this X-member).
