Some of the trucks you Americians are driving were built in Canada the imported to the US.
They changed the guages to read mph and removed all Canadian stickers.
A lot of these trucks were imported to dealers illegally .(something to do with quotas)
So just because you cant find Canadian markings doesnt mean its no Canadian built
This goes mainly for high end loaded trucks.
Okay people understand this: I have found the solution to this little problem. the website that was given in an above post has all the emission pipes that you could imagine- I will post a pic when I get it and it is installed. By the way, unless the dealership changed the stickers, vin# and the tag in the window of my truck, it was built in Kentucky. I am only 50 miles from Canada, but my truckis the blandest XL ever built. Not "high end" and not running.
How strict are your emissions laws? If not, just remove it all and plug the holes or remove the air pump. Won't make any difference on how the truck runs.
Jon, When you get your air tube, can you describe how you get it put in? I'm told you have to remove the upper intake manifold if you have a v8 with fuel injection. I've R&R the intake manifolds and it aint fun!
Also, did you have an easy time in identfying the correct tube? On my 351w there were four different suffix (-A to -D) to the generic part number 5F235 and even the dealer parts guy wasn't to sure which one it was. ~ron
