ok, so I don't have to actually get near the ignition switch? I saw a number of wires below the column but wasn't sure if they were the right ones since they were plugged into a grey harness of some sort. There seemed to be multiple yellow wires, which should be the 12v contant lead - does it matter which one I use? Any help would be appreciated.
I just installed a DesignTech Autocommand (model 2100 maybe?) remote starter last night. Bought it off ebay for $30.00, new in package - the same one they sell at Autozone for $85.00. Not a bad install, but splicing the wires is a bit tedious - not much slack in the wires, or room to work. It's a pretty slick setup - no unnecessary bells or whistles...just a remote starter. Works great. I just need to finish routing the antenna through the A-pillar and to the windshield and I'm finished.
