I stopped at the local Ford dealership this AM and asked the parts man if they had any "O" rings for the HFCM drain plug. He informed me that I would need to buy a complete gasket set for $18.00. It's just a simple "O" ring. Has anyone bought any from another source? One of these days I'm going to ruin the "O" ring while draining the HFCM. Anyway, the darn thing will eventually swell up and need to be replaced.
Buy the new steel drain plug for $7.50 and it comes with the O-ring. Other wise go to a good parts store and see if there is just an O-ring that size. I bought the steel plug.
Thanks for the info, I'll check out the steel plug next week. I'm due for the 30,000 mile killer visit pretty soon, but I'm really into doing stuff myself now,got the oil and filter stuff down pat, Gonna tackle the air filter soon, but i'M seriously considering an Airforce one filter replacement, it's the closest thing to stock I've seen, even the filter housing is similar, except it's made from stainless steel, and I'm used to K&N stuff anyway.
