Daystar leveling kit VS. Autosprings

I can't decide between buying the Daystar 2.5" leveling kit or the 2.5" Autosprings for my FX4 Screw to fit some 33" or 35" tires. What would you guys recommend?

I have heard that sometimes the Daystar kit makes the truck look taller in the front than in the back, that it sqeaks, and that it makes the ride stiffer. Is this true?... I have seen alot of truck pics with the Daystar kit, but it is very difficult to appreciate if the front is really taller than the back or not.

On the other hand, I have seen very little feedback on the Autosprings. The Autospring website claims that its kit does not change the factory soft ride at all because it bolts on top of the struts and not in beween like the Daystar. Sounds logical, but I don't know if that is true.

Please let me know what you guys think, what your experiences are, what have you seen, or what would you recomend. Is there any body that has measured how much exactly the Daystar kit or the Autosprings raises the front?

I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this. Thanks in advance for your replies.

My Daystar raised mine 2.25". It sits pretty much perfectly level, If any off it is nose down 1/2" still. I like it, ride didn't change that I noticed at all.

No experience with the autospring kit.

My truck has 37.5" in the front and 39.75" in the rear with 18" wheels.
2.25" in the front will make my truck perfectly leveled, but I think that 1/2" lower in the front looks better. Your truck was probably a little bit taller than mine before you installed the Daystar kit. What kind of tires and wheels did you have? On the tires: BFG or Goodyear?

Ran out to the garage and measured mine for ya. 39.5" in the front and 40" in the rear. I have the 18" FX4 wheels with the Goodyear AT/S tires. Plan to put my new tires/wheels on tomorrow. 17x9 Eagle 187's with 285/70/17 BFG MT KM's.

Shane_2, thanks alot for the info. The Goodyear AT/S tires are a little bit bigger than the BFG Rugged Trail that I have. That is probably where the 1/4" difference in the rear between your truck and mine comes from. By any chance, do you recall what was the height in the front of your truck before installing the Daystar kit? Sorry for being so picky about this front height thing, but I really don't like trucks that are higher in the front than in the back. I am also buying new tires and wheels (Eagle 178 18X9 and Nittos Terra Grapplers 325/60 R18) and having the front higher than the back would ruin the wheel/Tire setup.

I agree on the front being higher looking like crap thing. I do have a AirLift bags in the rear with on-board air for that very reason. When I pull my trailer I still want it to be level or very slightly raked. I run about 10-15psi in them all the time (they require 5psi minimum, the pump will automatically keep them at 5psi) That could very well be the 1/4" diff. as well.

As for before, I did measure but don't really recall what it was. I wanna say I got 2.25" in the front.

Don't feel bad about being picky, It's a $40k truck and I am very picky with mine as well.

I installed the Daystar kit and my truck still looks like it is lower in the front but not much.

I installed the Daystar on my 05 FX4 SCREW and the ride is the same and there is no squeeking. I do have to admit that I ride around most of the time with the Audiophile cranked up so I may not be able to detect the noise. My truck sits about .5" lower in the front as well.
