Pics of my skyjacker 2.5 front spacer lift

I purchased the skyjacker lift spacers for the front springs. The pictures for these spacers look the same as the daystar brand. What differences are there between the two? Is one better than the other? The part #'s on the Skyjacker spacers were M03456 and M03457. The main part # was FF25
Install was pretty simple.
I think daystar and some of the other kits are almost the exact same install. I think the ez-lift and autospring you skip the strut spring compress and just add the spacer on top of the strut.

Jack up truck
remove wheels 21mm
remove steering knuckle 13/16

remove upper ball joint to spindle 13/16

hit spindle with hammer and mine came apart

install upper strut isolator mount onto strut assembly

reinstall strut top bolts 17mm

I had to use a pry bar to get the lower strut mount in place to rebolt it in, but it did go. Didn't have to remove sway bar. I also used a big vice grips clamp to get the spindle aligned with the upper ball joint stud.

Total time for driver side about 1 hour with pictures and all. It took less than 1/2 hour for passenger side.

Sorry, forgot to take measurements, but it looks like the front is a little tiny bit higher than the rear...

I really like it! I have an 04 Lariot 4x4 and have been looking to get a leveling kit. What would you recommend? I found one for sale, but it's a 2", not a 2.5". Think this would still look good?

Also, since I am new to all this, what all does a leveling kit do besides level the front with the rear? Will it give any more ground/tire clearance? Will it mess up the handling at all?

Thanks...

E.J.

I don't know a lot about other kits. Handling is affected. As far as the warranty goes, any problem that ford thinks is caused by the leveling kit may not be covered. Such as tire wear, alignment, bearings, ball joints, half shafts, front differential, gears, control arms, bushings, springs, struts, steering system, etc.

What happens to the handling? I really like the way it handles now...is it a huge difference? Enough to bother someone?

Thanks.

I don't know how it affects the handling, but it must. You are raising the front of the truck 2.5 inches, and compressing the springs.
