Steering colum problems???
I know I seen a thread, but can't find it. I just changed my '67 Short box, 240 I-6 with three-on-the-tree, to an AOD. I had a 71 or 72 auto colum that I used, but low and behold, the electical crap just don't fit. Is it best to swap the guts from the '67 stand transi colum to the auto later model colum? just need the signals to work, that's all that's there. Everything else runs well, but work out of town and need some MPG. Little sluggish with the 31 inch tires on the back, so will put the others back on. Thanks, John

I put a 79 collum (for the tilt) in my 73. The wires didn't match up on it either. I took the wires loose from the plug and changed them around to fit my application. Then simply put them back in the plug, and plugged it in. Is there any chance that you can just change the plug on the end?
