i am lookng at converting my f250 to a auto trans Ihave a rebuilt 6-6 fe trans, 67-72 auto colum, and need the pedals asy what year trucks will be a dner for this swap. I have a single automatic brake bedal assy that bolts to the firewall from a 77 f150, will this part work, or will need spacific 67-72 items?
I don't think it'll be a direct bolt in. When I changed my '68 from manual 3-on-the-tree and drum brakes to c6 and power front disks, I took a pedal assembly (among other things) from a '75 but had to can it. It would bolt to the firewall, but the holes where it attached to the bottom of the dash were way different. I wound up taking the pb/auto pedal off that bracket and moving it over to my original bracket.
John I still have the 66 pedal, in my truck pushing the pdb. I had to drill some new holes in the pedal arm to make it work.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
When I recently converted my 71 to a c-6 I removed the clutch pedal and left the brake. I had a set of pedals off an automatic side by side with the manuals and the only difference I could see was the shouldered bolt on the auot set. I used this bolt.

Does your truck have power brakes? I think it may be the combo of pdb and at that has the different pedal. It's lower to the floor and it's wider than the pedals I took out of my truck.
