The vibration problem for one and that Ford won't stand by their product or warranty and fix it.
The stereo sounds like crap and the speakers in the doors shake. I have the 6 disc cd player, hope that thing doesn't break before Ford buys it back.
Front dash rattles pretty badly, really cheap build quality.
Way too many cupholders. why do I need 10 cup holders? That space could be used for something useful.
Tranny jumps, breaks shake and squeak.
Oh and the vehicle isn't safe to drive, but use it as a pickup and haul something like firewood and it is just plain unstable and hard to control. Yeah, that's a problem.
You like to put your guns in the back then just flip the seats up.
I don't get hunting. I could go out in my front yard and club a deer over the head if I wanted to. They are so tame. There are a few bucks that sleep in my front yard almost every night. Beautiful animals. I would never kill them. Not much of a hunt if you ask me. I'm hunting Ford.
I had mine to the dealer twice now the first time to balance the wheels for a shimmy, the next because when they did it, they scratched my wheel, and had to replace one, they rebalanced the wheels again and rotated the tires to see if it was a bad tire, guess what? now there,s a shimmy in the whole truck. you tell me. bad tires or what? there's only 1000 miles on the truck, whats the deal. The service manager told me that Ford is addressing the problem and may be replacing the rack of trucks that people are complaining about, so basicly if you don't bitch, it won't get fixed. you better believe I'll bitch till it's fixed
Check out the "vibration" thread for advice on how to go after Ford

Go to the "vibration" thread to get some help. Please post a complaint about this a www.ftc.gov and www.nhtsa.com. Get a DSB application from your dealer or by calling 1-800-392-3673. You can read more about this in your owners manual. Also, in your owners manual it says that if the truck has a vibration to take it to the dealer immediately and that other parts could be effected by it. I think it's page 56. I don't have mine because the last time I took it in for service the Ford dealer took it out of my truck.
The worst thing about my 04 SCREW is that it's superior ride and handling influenced my wife to love it more than her minivan. At first she wanted nothing to do with it...now I am stuck driving the minivan! Oh well, we'll put less miles on the truck. Other than that, I love it
Really crappy "premium" radio
Cheap looking "non lighted" running boards on my King Ranch. SD is better
The King should have it all....but does not. Folding rear seat back like SD.
No rear fender wells...looks unfinished, especially so on a white truck.

You dont get HUNTING ???
You must not be married or not fr vary long...
I can go in my back yard and nail a few deer also.
I go hunting with 4 or 5 bubbies to get aweay from all the BS fr 4 or 5 days.....
As far as bitches, the brake dust is my worst..
I know a guy that went with ceramic pads and reduced the dust quite a bit.
My next brake job,I'm gonna try the ceramics...
Alright....the only problem that I have is the cowl. I have done the screw trick and it worked for a bit but now it is lifting up at the part closest to the windshield. I wish that the whole thing was metal like they used to be. Much cleaner look as well imo.
So, nobody has any gripes about the cam phazers???? 99% of these gripes are cosmetic, boo hoo, how about the powertrain and engine problems that ford doesn't seem to care about or want to address.
I don't have any gripes, as I have had 4 small ford trucks and one explorer. My screw is my best purchase yet. as for the back seat, I hunt as well and don't like the fold up seat. But I did get a set of Katskin seat covers and use the back seat like a regular cargo space. the seat covers come off easy if the get dirty and I just put them in the washer. As for the cam phasers I am used to it and the spark plugs I dont have to change but every 50k miles. the back seat i deal with everyday there for it is a gripe
I dont hunt, nor will I ever or view it as a "sport". However, I do love a tasty steak and burger, and unless I become a vegan, I cant critisize anyone who hunts and eats their catch. It is actually a more humane way to eat meat then to eat a steak that I buy in the store that probley came from some poor cow trapped in a cage all its life.
About the truck..Break dust...and thats about it, really.
How can anyone complain about too many cupholders?!?!? That was a selling point for me! you can
NEVER have enough cupholders!!
1. phallic looking fx4 shifter
2. shift pattern is too sluiggish
3. 3.73 ls whine on the highway
4. no telescoping steering column
There must be a bunch of old women driving these trucks with one foot on the brake pedal... i have yet to see brake dust after 10k miles. truck stops so fast it could throw the body off the chassis...
If anyone finds out what that space is below the cup holders is for on the standard console, let me know. For me, it is totally useless. Also, I'm like almost everyone else on the brake dust issue.
