I am running into obstacles everywhere. I have a NP208 transfer case, (1984 Ford Version), and need the shift linkage. I need the whole linkage including the coupler that bolts to the selector switch on the side of the case. Ford has discontinued the part. Apparently nobody make a replacement for it, and if I can find one in a salvage yard, they all want to sell me a whole transfer case for big $$$ just to get a linkage. Short of going to a machine shop, what to do, what to do???????
The one that was on my truck, must have gotten hit on the trail and fallen off somewhere. Never could find it. Will I ever be able to use 4WD again? Help.
Finally. I found a truck graveyard that is willing to work with me and they ship the parts to ya. I found what I needed at AJ's Used Auto Parts in Reynoldsville, PA. Super nice folks up there. Apparently they got tons of trucks up there and all year models. I'll let you know what kind of shape the parts are in when they arrive.
i am about to drop my 208 in my white truck (if i can ever get around to it )
when i do get it out you can have the shifter/linkage if ya still need it!

never been to that yard, but most people from reynoldsville are nice.. it's about 2 hrs from my house...
Bad comes to worse, I can take a pic of my 208f linkage... I think you are only missing one piece, and it would be pretty easy to make...
