Transfer case question
Hey all!
My 83 seems to have launched its transfer case, haven't taken it apart yet to see what exactly let loose, but my bet is the chain.
Info about the truck, 83 250, 351 C6, current case is a NP 208.
My question is has anyone updated their truck with the newer style BW transfer case? If so was there any modding required to get it to fit (drive shafts, floor shifter location ect)
Also gonna call around the local yards, maybe will find another 208. I know they aren't exactly favored. Which was why I was thinking if an upgrade was fairly straightforward I may go that route, not to mention may be easier to source.

208 is a good transfer case. They run for years without problems. I would find another, it will swap right in with no problems. If you get a different style you might find length differences and shifter differences that require modifications.
