My overhead console stopped showing any info the other day. The display comes on when I start the truck, so I know that, at least, works, but the display is just blank after I start the truck. I also had no dash lights yesterday, but once I turned the dimmer switch all the way up, turning on the dome light, and then back down, they started working. not sure if this is related.
I know it's not a power/ground issue, because the map lights work. I'm concerned that the unit may be fried, as this seems to have happened sometime after I jumpstarted a coworker's truck on Thursday.
Anyone have any suggestions, before I start taking stuff apart?
Press the 'mode' button once one of the display modes for the console is 'display off'
Thanks, that fixed it. I don't know how it got turned off, because I didn't turn it off. I feel like an idiot now--I knew about that but never even tried hitting the mode button.
