Unhappy stays in 2nd
when i stop and go again it stays in 2nd till i get my rev's up then it shifts to 1st any ideas

Shifts to first or 3rd? I'm guessing you're talking about a C-6 or C-4 automatic trans here. Slushboxes start out in first, and shift thru second third, and fourth(if so equipped) unless you're slowing down. Or are you talking about kicking into passing gear? Give us some more details here.

when i stop at a stop sign and takeoff it stays in 2nd till i get moving then it kicks down
