If you can help me please reply. Heres the ?. If you have an ext. speaker and wanted to hook it up to your head unit but have it switchable how would you do it? i have an idea but im not sure. 1st i would take a line out(+and-) then i would put a switch on it and run another line(+and-) to the speaker. do you think it will work?
I would tap into the rear speakers and somehow cleanly run them back. I would make the switch set up to where it completely cuts off the interior speakers that you are tapping into when you switch over to the exterior speakers. Otherwise you might start running too much of a load on the HU.
If you have access to the rearspeakers and a fade control on the HU, Try this:
Install a headphone jack inline with each of the rear speakers, this will cut them off when you plug in your externals, then turn the fade full to the rear. All the power will now be going only to the externals.
OR, if you want to go big time, put an amp to those externals if they can handle the power.
I can see that you are probly goin to put a swich or something in thare but
dont try runnen 2 speakers off of one, The deck will probly 80% + work fine
with 2 speakers on one line unless you just droped it to like 1 ohm or lower.
But when you lower the ohms on a deck 95% of the time the wattz do not go
up so it will not sound good at all.... Well it will if you lisen to it low but if
you turn it up it will not sound as good as it can or even close.
