Question Speaker plug missing

I have a 98 Expedition (eddie bauer) with the mach stereo system, the back speaker blowed and had it replaced but the plug that runs from the speaker to the amp is missing so the speaker isn't working. Does anyone know if I can replace the plug with a different brand or does it have to be the mach. Do you know where I would be able to find that plug?

I assume you are talking about the connector on a short length of wire coming from the speaker, that connects to the wiring harness going to the amp. If so, whoever replaced your bad speaker should have removed the original plug from the bad speaker and soldered it onto the new speaker's wires. You can do one of two things now - have it fixed correctly, or hard wire the new speaker to the harness by cutting off the remaining connector on the harness, and then soldering the separate wiring harness wires to the new speaker's wires or terminals. Either way will work fine. Just make certain you maintain polarity of the twon speaker wires (positive to positive, negative to negative) when soldering the new setup. The new speaker should be labeled at its terminals. If you need help in identifying which wires in the harness are positive and negative, that information will be easily available on this forum.
