in order to get the box out you need to pull the whole interior out on that side, after you get the int. outyou will se the 3 (i think it is 3) bolts to get the enclosure out. And to remove the speaker from the enclosure and there is a bolt on the back of the enclosure that holds the speaker in.

Hey Kick,

Just curious, what are you planning to do there? I was also thinking of replacing that speaker ( I think it's only a woofer) with a full-range speaker so that with the third seat in place, people can listen to the whole range of frequencies rather than just the thumping sounds of the woofer!!!

Thanks

Raheel

The bolt that Jrfording is talking about is right in the center of the magnet. I held the head of the bolt with a wrench and spun the speaker. It was much easier that way.

Hey Raheel, switching the sub out for a regular speaker might not be a good idea. The hook ups for the sub are powered by an amp and i think that its a sub line only. You would have to run wires branched off of a normal speaker to power it.

Thanks Philly,

That's good to know. I didn't think of that. I guess I will take it to an audio guy and have him do it then. In fact, I would like one on the other side as well to get the stereo sound.
