I've got a 91' F-150 5.0 that I'm having a problem with. The fuel pump does not appear to be coming on. I'm not sure if it's the fuel pump that is bad or if there might be a relay somewhere thats malfunctioning. Does anybody know if there are any relays that could be causing this problem? If so, where are they located?
Yes there is a fuel pump relay under the hood right next to the air filter housing. I should be the one that is green where the plug connects. You didn't mention wheter or not you have one or two tanks, although this doesn't matter when it comes to the relay. But it might have something to do with your problem.
Before replacing the relay, you might want to check to see if you have juice at the tank, if so it isn't the relay but probably the pump inside the tank.
Let me know how things turn out, ok?

Thanks for answering. I checked the relay and it has power going in and out of it, but I have no power going to the tanks, so I'm thinking that there is a broken wire somewhere. Unless there is another relay somewhere that i don't know about. Thanks again for you help.
There's an inertia cutoff switch under the dash board that could be tripped. It will either be on the firewall up behind the brake pedal, or behind the passenger side kick panel. There's a white button on top - press it down and see if that fixes the problem. If that's not it, then there is a problem in the wiring somewhere.
