cam install question

ok, i can do all the work on the engine to put the cam in, no problem, but i have never done it with the engine in a truck. my question is can i replace the cam shaft with the engine in the truck? i have a 1980 F-100 custum step side.

Take some measurements with a tape measure. The radiator may have to be removed as well as the grill.
