I was a PBS addict, it comes from Spokane in my neck of the woods and is supported financially more by Canadians than people in the US on KSPS.

Then my wife discovered "Trading spaces" and all those other home improvement shows, and watches each episode a minimum of 3 times each.

Alas, no longer do I get to see "Last of the summer wine" (a classic) or Mrs. Bucket (that Bucket woman) answer the phone "Boo--quet-- residence, the lady of the house speaking!"
.....it would not be nearly so funny if I didn't know a few ladies JUST like her, starting with my aunt.
There was another Brit-com, about a church or monestery with a drunk Irish priest that was a scream too. I can't remember the name... Alzheimers, doh

And Crocodile shoes.. man I loved that series.

The only shows i watch on PBS are Red Dwarf (when they do air it), the Red Green show, and Coupling. Red Dwarf is the funniest out of the three.

PBS.org sells dvd copies of many of the shows.. I intend to get the entire Blackadder... as well as my favorite - "Last of the Summer Wine" where Nora Batty hangs out..

Red Dwarfe is the most amusing show I have seen for a long long time - It has not been on the Memphis PBS whilst I have been here, which sucks.. But, without a doubt, the very best of British comedy has to be "Monty Python's Flying Circus" Unfortunately never shown on PBS, but maybe satellite will have it.

Theo, you need to find which Channel BBC America is on your satellite. On mine it is 264. Monty Python is on twice on Thursday nights (tonight!). Once at 7:00pm (Eastern time), followed by The Young Ones, then Monty again at 8:20, followed by Trailer Park Boys!! Then you can catch The Office at 10:00. I think that is about the best lineup you can find on any given night!

I just keep wanting them to rerun "Moll Flanders".....

Also, what about the late great Benny Hill? Did PBS ever air him, or was that another network?
