How do you test a relay to see if it's good? I think my A/C Relay is the reason why my A/C isn't working, but I don't know of a way to test the relay. Can it be done with a voltmeter measuring for resistance?
Swap it with one of the other relays for wipers, fog lamps, etc and see if that makes the a/c work. The a/c relay is only for the a/c diode on the compressor.
Relays can be different but in most cases they are similar, depends on the year also. The AC has a pressure switch that can be jumped for a short period to see if you have a low charge/bad swtich and a WOT relay that cuts out the AC for WOT.
I found the WOT relay. I replaced it with another relay which I knew was working. The clutch didn't kick in. So I know it's not the relay. Where is the pressure switch you're talking about? I'll try that next.
It's normally near the firewall, I'm drawing a blank on the components name right now. Don't run it long when you jump it or you will damage the compressor. This mormally means you need a charge.
