Ivan ?

What ever happened with those front springs you were looking into on e-bay ? Would they work ? Did you buy them ? I had someone tell me they wouldn't fit.

I did buy them and according to the measurements I have they'll work perfect. I believe they will shift my front axle either forward or back an inch (don't remember which way now) but that's not a concern because I will most likely be building custom spring hangers and I can adjust it any way I like. I'm heading down to Portland this weekend to pick up my welder and tires and to crawl around under Pro's truck some more to see if I can come up with any last minute ideas and then I'll start my lift in about 2 weeks . . . at least that's the plan. I can probably give you a final answer around the first of November if all works out. Eye hole to eye hole though they're 2" shorter than my current springs but that measurement is uncompressed. Basically I'm waiting for my beadlocks and tire so I can figure out how high I'll need to truck to make it all work.

Alright Mark, I'm working on the lift right now and just got the front springs installed. They Skyjacker model "F960S" for a 2003 F-250 Superduty. When I laid them side by side next to the stock springs they were about 2" shorter which I figured would be the case as the stock springs are already flattened out. Once I pushed the shackle forward to mount them and then put weight on them they flattened out a little and now fit perfect, like they were made for that truck. Below is a picture with the stock tires so you can see how they centered in the wheel well. I may end up lowering the truck a little bit now. These are 6" springs but with the 44's they put me way over the WA state height limit. We'll see what happens.

Forgive the ugly fender. I have another one on the way, just waiting until I get my flares painted.

How do they measure in your state ? We can go as high as we want here but a bumper has to be at least 28" front & 30" rear, so you can mount pipe bumpers under your factory bumpers. No more than 5" of blocking in the rear. Mud flaps & fender flares are required too.
What are you going to do with your steering ? I ordered the O.R.U. cross over steering set up a cupple of days ago & a new set of 6" rear leaf springs. I'm liKe a kid waiting on xmas now. I'll have to address the drive shafts soon. I think I have everything else now to raise it 3" more. I wish you lived closer, I've got a set of 38.5" Monster Mudders mounted on Hurricanes I'd like to get rid of.

But then what would I do with my 44's? Going to lift the rear tomorrow.

It actually sounds like your state laws are very similar to ours. 28/30 bumper limit. My front bumper is at 36" right now so I'll have some work to do so I can get it low enough. We also have a headlight limit if 54" to center and I'm at 53" so I'm okay there. I'll build or buy a drop bumper for the back. I have cutout flares and will have to get some gnarly mudflaps here too . . . maybe some nekkid ladies on them.

I'm working on crossover steering right now. The arm is on its way but I'll still need a drop pitman arm to clear my crossmember. Going with Blazer TRE's and 1" DOM for my drag link. ORU makes some really nice stuff but I couldn't justify the price when I can build it myself for under $100.

I didn't realize you already bought 44's. Where did you get them ? Do they stick out in the front a hole lot ? I was considering them but I think they will stick out too much. I think I'm going with the 42's because they come in 15" wide.
I wish I had my old steering off, there is a 4" drop arm on it that I'll have no use for anymore. O.R.U. said I would have to get it bored out to run the G.M. 1 ton tie rod ends. So after a lot of figureing I decided to just go with there kit.

Edit: the springs just came, I gotta get a digital camera.

I bought the tires from a guy on the coast. Het got them for a project and ended up never finishing it so they're brand new, never been run. The wheels came with them but I'll be putting them on beadlocks . . . possibly next week. They DO stick way out, I'd guess 4" or so. I'm a little concerned about that and I've got to say that if I'd really recommend going to a 42 unless you have cutout flares. I'm not even sure my cutouts will cover these pigs. If I get the rears on tomorrow I'll snap a picture showing the profile so you can get an idea of how far out they are. To be honest if you're concerned about it I'd go with 42's. These made Pro's 42's look little . . . which I think convinced him to buy another set of 44's.

I have a tapered reamer for the GM tie rod ends so boring them won't be a problem. If you get that pitman arm off there within the next week or so let me know and I'll buy if off you. Otherwise I'll just grab a Skyjacker.

EDIT Interco's tires are not actually as wide as they make them out to be in the sizing. I measured Pro's 42's and they were 14.5 wide (they claim 15.1) and my 44's mounted but not on the truck were 16.5 wide I believe, not the 18.5 they claim. I haven't measured them since they went on the truck though. In any event they're slightly narrower than advertised.

Alright Mark, got the rears on today. The back does not stick out near as far as the front. It looks like maybe 2" protruding in the rear whereas the front sticks out about 4". The Bushwackers will fix this no problem. The beaklocks should have 1" less backspacing than these rims and the Dana 70 I'll be putting under there later will be an inch wider so the rears should stick out about 3-3.5" when I'm finished. The back will be going up about 2" more when I do the shackle flip. I was waiting to see how much I'd need to compensate for removing the blocks but it's not looking like I'll need to add anything drastic to the flip. I may even return the front hangers and flip the rears I have.

Well... they don't stick out as far as I thought they would. But I think I'll go for the 42's. 44's might hit my headers & I'd need wider flares.
Thanks for the pictures !

I was considering fenderwell exit headers but I had the same fear. Not sure what I'm going to do with my exhaust now. The tires clear the springs by about 1" at full turn and they don't get into the body mounts. I'm just not certain how car out the headers will stick.
