i will search for the receipt in the morning for a number cause i would really like to hear what they say.......i mean i started at the beginning with the chip and down pipe, no gauges or trans command or exhaust, (they did not like that i ordered everytrhing without those things) and air filter and then went for the exhaust housing later and they sucked me in on a supposedl "upgrade" on the chip (which i thought was bs) cuase i know when i bypassed the catalytic converter i gained more power than the turbine housing for sure! and they did not say i had to change my chip for that...to this day i am still driving original auto trans without the shift kit....no probs....planning on guages if i get the microtuner and boost gauge just t obe sure when ultimatley i get the intercooler for $1000Us....much cheeper than banks

well thats one of the benefits of this site it gives everyone a voice and some leverage with these companys it keeps them honest I will surely call and ask them what is up.I have enjoyed my intercooler especially with the injectors and huge program that I am running it is a bit high in price but it works also the idea of the exhaust housing is really not for huge HP gains it can handle more boost and runs cooler EGTs especially when combined with a matched intake housing like the one I found at paulshp.com I can run 27-33lbs of boost with no problem I asked around about the gain in hp from turbo and most say that it is just a way of gaining more HP with other mods I am looking into the H2E right now I just want to make sure that something new won't come out tomorrow if I but it today if you know what I mean but I will definately talk to victor and see what the deal is.

ok...seems like i am about to open some old wounds here but what the hey...the date was 02/28/01..not year 2000 like i thought..invoice was 197249 and the sales rep was GBE. PO 32828...as for your other coments i am concerned about the boost thats why i want to get an intercooler to lower the boost and bring down the etg's and maybe get some more power out of the deal...and extend the life of everything compressor on down. i am getting the intercooler and gauges from a place here called BD-power.com..some thing like that...i am probubly going to get the microtuner at the end of the month as i see they are on sale and our dollar is strong so its a good deal i think..to get another 30hp..

you will get more power out of the truck and cooler EGTs I never really noticed much on the boost end since I get around 27 to 33 lbs with a tschip high flow manifolds, tsinjectors so I don't know how much you will decrease your boost I have been busy trying to raise mine good luck and I will definitely inquire with banks just out of curiosity.

How does replacing his stock intercooler with a more efficent one add restriction. His truck is a Super Duty, the Banks cooler flows better then the stock one. I am not 100% sure on this but the Banks cooler is probably larger then stock also, therefore same pressure, larger area = lower psi. Don't know what I was thinking with the CCV comment, must have been a rough night.

What I was puzzled about was "less restriction=less boost." Lower restriction should increase boost and do so at lower RPM.

I think that you still have the same amount of flow but with the more efficient cooling effect of the intercooler you will get a slight difference in pressure. How much pressure was lost on this truck?
