Boost / Vacuum and a Boost gauge?
Can I install this in my 2005 V10? anyone know where to hook up the line to?
Thanks ~Gage~
the boost gage is of no use in a NA (normally aspirated) motor. The amount of "boost" a Blower or Turbo charger is making is important especially for those running higher then factory boost levels.
A vacuum gage can be a benefit is you understand how to use it for fuel efficiency. It can be tied into any port on the intake manifold after the throttle body or carburetor. If you control the vacuum to it's highest reading with your right foot you will get best power and economy. Actually that is a little overly simplistic because a good fuel economy gage has two red ranges, two yellow ranges and one green range in the center. Keeping the needle in the center is best economy. Rare to fine one of them these days. A very sensitive vacuum gage could be put in the area after the air filter and before the throttle body to let you know when the air filter is clogged. But most automotive types are not sensitive enough for you to ever see any needle movement in that area.
PS I am working on where to put your temp senders on the 05 v10
