pcv valve location
Have 2000 explorer, with 4.0 sohc engine, where is the pcv located?
very familiar with the 4.0 ohv, and these have some differences when it comes to this, also are there two? reading the vacuum hose routing diagram on the vehicle, it appears that there are two hoses that route to it, or that there are two valves? any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

On my 98 xlt sohc, the PCV valve is located between the engine and firewall, roughly near the top center of the engine. the bottom of the valve sits in a hose, the top of the valve has a "Y" that splits to two smaller hoses routing to R and L sides of the engine.
