PCV valve, 2003 4.0 SOHC?

Is there a PCV valve on the 2003 Ranger/4.0 sohc engine?

If so, where is it located?

Thanks.

Went to three part stores, none have a listing for a PCV valve on 2003 4.0 sohc Ranger Engine.

So let me word it this way, has anyone ever CHANGED a PCV valve on a 2003 4.0 Ranger?

If so, where did you purchase the new one.

Do you have a part number?

I find it odd that no part stores have a listing for this valve!

Funny how I can find the part numbers from two different sources and two different brands for this PCV valve.

Pep Boys, Auto Zone, Advance Auto, NO ONE has a listing for this PCV valve.

You CLAIM to have the part numbers for this valve. What are they?
Talk is cheap CowboyBilly......your post is worthless.

The abrasive tone of things hardly encourages me to respond. But you have been given good advice on what to do. They can also be purchased online.

Cowboy,

You're either a liar or just plain ignorant.

NAPA does NOT carry it as you claim.

Found out today it is a Dealership item.

If you don't know what you're talking about, don't post.

Look at the emission vacuum diagram on the sticker on the hood. It should show it there if it does have a PCV valve.

I'm almost positive it DOES have one, at the very back of the engine.

Federal law does NOT require vehicles to have a PCV valve, it is up the the manufacturer to determine what components to install to meet emission standards, but the PCV does work and most opt to use it for that reason.

Good luck!
