OK, i just got a 85 B2 and i find that it have some kind of o2 sensor on de driver side out take manifuel, but is disconected, the truck is carburated, so i wonder if that sensor is stock or those aren't the stock manifuels?, it look's like it's sucking to much gas, so i wonder if it have somethig to do with it, also in front of the carb is some extrange part, i don't now what it is but it looks like it move the throtle, any idea?
I dont know the 85 carbureted setup but 90 the o2 sensor is on the Y pipe. If it is disconnected, the computer goes to "limp in mode" which is basically full rich. That explain the gas guzzling.
Those older systems really don't get a lot of fuel control from the O2 feedback system. Only about 10%. Usually will run fine without being hooked up. I would look to the power valve in the bottom of the carb as the most likely source of rich running.
