When I open my doors the following dosen't work;
dome light, headlight on warning beeper, key in ignition warning beeper,
radio keeps working, windows still operate.
Can any one tell me where the relay for the switches in the door latches are?
I know it has something to do with the door latch switches but I cant find it.
Thanks Chris
I think the newer trucks use a reed type magnetic switch for the door activation. I'm not quite sure where it is at though. sounds like mabye a wire is loose or the switch is stuck. mabye?? how bout some info on your truck.
On the newer trucks,the door switch is in the latch,ive read that spraying wd40 in the latch will fix this problem,tried it on an 03f250 and it worked!
I have checked the fuses their fine. It dosn't mater which door is open, it's like the circut isn't getting interupted when I open the door to let those things come on.
My truck is a 2002 f250 4x4

If your windows and radio work with the key off you may have a shorted GEM module.
The windows and radio only work for about 10 min. then they go off. I don't thik it is the switch in the door because it dosn't matter which door is open. I think it is in the relay (or somthing like that) where the wiring from both doors meet.
Thanks, I'll keep looking.
