Hoping someone has some experience with the ABS can help me out. A few weeks ago when stopping, I pushed on the brake pedal, and it pushed back I wound up stopping almost in the middle of the intersection. After that the ABS light came on, and the ABS does not work. The light shuts of everytime I shut the truck off, but comes back on whenever I move about 10 ft. Maybe a wheel sensor? any way to pull codes before I go to the stealer(dealer) and spend $85 for them to pull codes?
The system does a self test on initial start when you get to about 10 mph. Your system senses a failure and is triggering the light. There should be a stored code. It may just be a wheel sensor or damaged wire.
