I hope you bought that bronco that way cus for the price of that lift and the tires you bought . the SAS would have been the same cost and been a far superior setup. ok, remove the 8" and sell on ebay, the front ttb probably isnt worth much of anything but the 8.8 may be worth 300 - 400 bucks. that should give you enough coin to buy a front d60 and rear sterling 10.25. you will have to leaf spring the front end. any more info would require you to visit that website i mentioned earlier thats all about this topic. they can set ya strait.
I bought it the way it is now of course. Well, I'd prefer to do the rear first just b/c I use it most. Do you think I could get enough out of the 8.8 to pay for a new rear? What all do I need for the used rear? Ford 9"? Then I can save for the front....
At this point, the chip is not in your best interest. In fact, with its added performance, it might be able to "work" your existing setup harder, which will result in quicker degradation. You can certainly just do the rear end, but you must pull the front driveshaft, and drive around in a 2wd bronco till you do the front as well. Like Kem mentioned, a D60 in the front, and a Sterling 10.25 for the rear is the most common swap. I know thats what we have residing underneath our 1 ton Centurion bronco. Hey, you could always just sell the bronco off, and buy one more daily driver friendly.
I found the rear, for that price it sounds great. Is that all I would need for the rear? Also, It only goes up to 4.56 gears? Whats the deal with that?
http://www.usgear.com/tl/ford2.htm This one has 5.13 gears but it says its only for f250's and f350s... will it sitll work? Does it come with everything I need?
