Question 390 connecting rods

I am having a 352 bored to a 390, are the piston connecting rods the same in a 352 and 390 big block?

Thanks

No they are not. And, if you just bore it to 390 specs you'll end up with a 360. To have a 390 you need a 390 crank. You might be able to get away with the 352 rods though, tell us more about your desired build.

Talking

To make a long story short. I got a 390 from a boneyard had the crank polished but the block could not be bored. I still have the 390 crank but I returned the unusable block and 390 pistons , he gave me a 352 which I having to bore to a 390. I wanted to if I could use the 352 connecting rods on a 390 crank or would I have to scrounge up some more 390 pistons.

Thanks

Buy some 390 rods as they are stronger, then get some 390 passenger car pistons, not for the truck application as they would be low compression items.
