Door hinge kit
Can anyone tell me if they make a door hinge kit for my Explorer? I have a 91' 4dr and my wife drives it about 5 miles down a wash board road each day. Latley the drivers door won't close properly and sags about 1/4' below where it should. I've ask at NAPA and other parts stores that carry that sort of items but none carry them. Am I going to have to get the whole hinge? It appears to me that to remove the hinge, the kick panel will need to be removed, is this right? Thank you in advance, SHD

I replaced both hinges on the driver's door of my '91. The bottom one was pretty easy. The top one was much more difficult. Others on this forum have used hinge repair kits from the auto parts store. I understand that the HELP! brand makes repair kits for a F150 that will work. It is a hinge pin and bushings. Try doing a search of this forum for more details. Complete hinges are available from the Ford dealer.
