Eb Pulling Question

I plan on building an EB within the next year or two and have a couple of questions. First, will an EB pull my 16' camp trailer? Second, if it will pull it would it be better to have a manual or auto tranny? I plan on puttin in a 351w for the engine and have not yet decided on using either a nv4500/atlasII combo or a c4/dana 20 combo. All help greatly appreciated.

The NV4500/atlas would hold up better to the towing. As far as the truck goes it would depend on how much your trailer weighs.

My experience has been that My 68 tows up to 3500# well as long as the trailer is quite toung heavy. Electric brakes and a controller will help stopping. I think that the C4 and auto would be the best choice as you get a passing/hill pulling gear that will maintain 50 mph. A small camp trailer up to 18 feet shouldn't weigh loaded over 3500#.
