Makin' sausage and watchin' Frances

I'm really bored today, so I'm makin' my first batch of sausage; I'll let ya know how it turns out... Somebody must have been really mad at that hog the first time they made sausage. It's like an episode of the Itchy and Scratchy show (Simpson's rule!) First they killed the pig, butchered it, ground it up, stuffed it into its own intestines (casings), and smoked it, cooked it and ate it! Yum! And will Frances ever get here?!

Bet ya could cook sausage with a welder- they used to sell hotdog cookers that just ran current thru the 'dog. I got too much stuff in the garage to do any real work; had to pick up all the loose stuff in the yard.

Wow...my wife cleaned out the kitchen cabinet the other day (because I spilled sugar all over the pots...oops!) and found one of those things. My mom gave it to me ages ago. I think we tried to use it once and it scared the crap out of both of us. Don't think we ate the dogs either. Blech.

Hey FLgargoyle! Let us know if Frances treats you bad. I just moved to Baltimore, MD from Clearwater in January. I work for Sticks N Stuff. I lived there for 14 years near Keene and Nursery Rds. My wife and I got married at the Chapel on the Hill Church there on Park Blvd.

I kinda miss it down there, except for times like this...........Good luck!

So far, so good, but it's gonna be a loooong day...problem is, if the power goes out, they won't fix it til winds die down, which could be 24 hrs.! Gonna stuff that sausage this morning, then get it in the freezer (or eat a heckova lot of sausage cooked on the grill LOL) Hey MikeW; cool avatar; you're some kind of machinist, I take it. I'm a moldmaker myself, with a full machine shop in the garage just fer grins.

No, I'm an electronics tech. Machining is just a hobby for me. It all goes back to my interest in working on cars.
