Question Cheap Exhaust

Hey All, I have a '80 F150 with a 351M. Exhaust is the same as when it came from factory, single, never been replaced. It's finally time to replace it, obviously, but I am short on cash because school's coming up. So, I was thinking that I would get a muffler shop to bend me some pipe and I would install myself. My idea is to run true dual, with glasspacks either under the floor or just after the cab and then turn downs. I figure this will save me money on pipe, labor, extra bending, and tips. Plus I heard it sounds better. I am curious to know what you all think, though. Please let me know any suggestions you may have. Thanks.

Yeah, it will be a bit cheaper to install it yerself but put the glasspacks under the box as far from the cab as possible. I just finished installing 2.5" cherrybomobs on my '90 supercab, and the 460 sounds awesome. I ran dumped straight pipes on my '86 Dodge and really don't see what is so great about dumps except that there is no tailpipes to rust off, it is still pretty quiet inside. Dual 2.25" and Thrush magnums should sound pretty good on the 351M
