I have a F-150 '99' 5.4L Lariat...I have a Gibson Extreme Dual Exhaust on it that exits behind both rear wheels...Should i bend the pipes straight back so that they are split rear coming straight back...would this just look better or does anyone think that it will make it louder...

Check out my other Post "Best Brand of Glass Packs" BY F-150RedBeast If you know anything bout glass packs I could use it...
I like the look of duals exiting behind each tire at 45* angles. It wont change the tone. If anything, it will be quieter in the cab, because you wont have sound bouncing off of the objects on the sides of youre truck. They will all be deflected behind you.
Hey thanks Rich,
Yeah i was just wondering about that i dunno i do like the exit behind each wheel but i might try it as a split rear to see what it looks like...all i have to do is loosing the clamps and turn em so if i dont like em then i put em back...but hey thanx for the reply and the info... oh yeah i think i am gonna go with the dynomax race bullet....but how do i get that from entering as 1exiting as 2 since i have the extreme dual exhaust?
thanx again

Hmm..I dont know. Thats gonna be a tough one. The only way I can think of is to see if an exhaust shop can fabbed you up a mini "Y", where the bottom portion (single) exits the muffler, and splits to the two pipes. Thats one of the problems you find when retrofitting items. You will always have to jump through hoops to get everything to work. You might want to talk to an exhaust shop before you purchase a new muffler. See what they think about how to mate youre possible new muffler to the existing pipes.
OK.....I got a question...if i were to take it to a shop i now and they could bend the pipes for me and make me true duals...and then i put a dynomax bullet on each one(right?) then how much would that cost....or is there only one way that you can have the Dynomax bullet with a single pipe?

If you were to have true duals run, then yes, you would throw one bullet on each bank. I dont know how much that would cost (each shop is different), but I would assume you would be in the 250 range (with mufflers).
No, thats about it. You seem to have an idea of what you want to do, and what the outcome will be. Keep us informed of how everything goes, as well as how it sounds (when you figure out what pack you want to run).
ok hey thanx for all ure help rich i will be puttin some of my pics in my gallery hopefully be done by the end of this week so u might want to check out my bad *** toy....
