Here is arkansas an old car is the way to go. If you have anything over 25 yrs old you can get antique tags that cost $7 and you never have to renew them. Your vehicle just has to be relatively stock, or you have to do a good job aking it look stock anyway. Arkansas also doesn't have yearly vehicle inspections, they figured it was a waste of money because guys were just taking their trucks to mechanics they knew and passing just because they knew the guy. Arkansasn is a great place to live just for that reason.

here in nsw australia if your vehicle is more than three years old you have to have it inspected and if the mechanic gets caught being to leanient he loses hes inspection licence and can receive a fine

they must be cracking down at the moment alot of mechanics that are normally easy going are realy nailing people at the moment.

When you order your engine I would ask how long the warranty is. I would try and get one with a seven year warranty they put the better rings and bearings in them. You might have to shop around awhile but you will find them.
