I bought this truck and discovered that it had a burnt valve. Took the heads to a machine shop in St. Augustine, FL. $447.00 later got them back. Bolted them on and discovered that the stock push-rods were too long. (The machinist warned me about this). Bought a set of the cup and ball push rods (For solid lifters) and a set of adjustable aluminum roller rocker arms. Have decent but not great compression in all cylinders but the truck still does not run right. In fact, it ran better on the 7 cylinders before I took the heads off. I am at wit's end.
If you dont have good compression now I'd take the heads right back off and go yell at 'em at the machine shop. They screwed something up if the valves aren't sealing.
