Hi, I'm sorry it took me long time to get back, hand injury slows you down. I checked the engine block, I founf=d the following:
head casting C6AEU
carb part # LIST 1850-2
valve cover has 5 bolts, 3 top, 2 bottom
spark plugs are lined (\\ //)
I hope this helps with findin engine cid.

Well, it looks like you have a combination of parts from engines of different years. It's a FE for sure, either a 360 or 390. The only way to tell the difference is by a stroke test. Remove spark plugs #1 and #4 (passenger side front and rear). Turn the engine over until it's at TDC on the timing pointer. Insert a small diameter wooden dowel down the #1 spark plug hole until it bottoms out on the top of the piston. Holding the dowel straight and even, make a mark where the valve cover lip touches it. Now pull it out and insert it into spark plug #4 just like you did for #1 (don't turn the engine over from TDC). Holding nice and straight make another mark where the valve cover lip touches. Pull out the dowel and measure the distance between the two marks that you made, that will be the stroke. 3.50" is a 360cid, 3.78" is a 390cid.
