C-6... Raising shift points...?

Hey guys, is it possible to raise the part throttle shift points on my C-6?
Its a 74 F100 4x4, 390. I ask because it seems to shift into 3rd before
20 mph, unless I am more aggressive with it, and then I get the wrath of my Locker(which is cool sometimes, but not all the time) Anything I can do? Thanks!

C6 shift points are easily changed. If the vacumn modulator has a screw inside the tube that the vacumn hose is hooked to, just screw the adjuster screw in a little. 1 turn should raise the shift points about 5mph or so.

If there is no adjusting screw in the modulator. There is a small rod behind the modulator. Remove the modulator (you might lose a little fluid) remove the rod, buy or make a slightly longer rod. The rod kits probably are not available anymore but a piece of 1/8 welding rod will work. Make it longer by 1/16" or so and try it. Longer will make the transmission shift later, shorter is earlier.
