How do I adjust shift points?
I have a '73 F100, 390, C6, and need to know how to adjust the shift points. Right now, under light throttle, it will shift into 2nd at 6 MPH and into 3rd at 11 MPH. Moderate throttle will increase that only slightly. Above about 40 or 45 MPH, it will not shift into passing gear (2nd). It does have a B&M shift kit and will definitely jerk your neck when I shift manually.

Try playing around with the set screw in the middle of your vacuum modulator on the back of the tranny. That should help move the shift points around since the shift is based on vaccuum, as well as kickdown linkage you should have.
