Need Help

I need some help, my check engine light keeps coming on, I get the codes read and it states that there's a small vacum leak either gas cap or at the engine. but the bigger problem is that my truck never seems to run the same way constantly. sometimes I my engine will rev really high on hills like the torque convertor isn't locking up, and then sometimes it's fine, my gas milage is good around 20 on highway running at 80 and about 14 city with the 4.6 and 4.10 in a regular cab long bed. the other thing is that it seems that sometimes the engine fan blows really hard then other time it blows like it did when I got it. any suggestion on what to look for. also my left rear brake doesn't seem to work and my left front brake seems to be compensiting for that any ideas on that to. thanxs

If there is any variance in the way your tranny is shifting, I would change the tranny fluid before you do anything else.

I had the fluid changed about 6-7,000 miles ago when I got it changed it did seem to drive much better, though I thought the tranny fu\luid only needed to be changed evey 50,000 miles or so correct me if i'm wrong

The believe the recommended interval for the tranny fluid is every 30k, under normal use, more often if towing. But after only 6-7k, the tranny fluid should be good.
