attacked??

i seen this thing on TV about dog attacks...have any of you ever been attacked by ANY animal...what happened and did yo end the animal or wuss out like the guy i seen and "let it live its just an animal" yea...if it were me they would be wrestling the firearm out of my hands.....care to share?? ill share one of my "Favorites"

Me and my Ex G/F got in an argument, i had enough....i pulled in a store and got out of the car and left the engine running i looked in and said "im walking home ill see you there you drive the car i need to do some thinking" so i start my 8 mile walk home. I walked about 1.5 miles and im feeling better im actually thinking about calling her to come get me as ive got it out of my system....i walk along the sidewalk on 78th st in Tampa.....now for those of you who know 78th and causeway area know its a bit of a "low income" area....well i pass these people and i see them sitting on the porch and i wave..they wave back they are older people.....i pass their home and walk on and i hear a LOUD growl and thumping footsteps growing closer....right as i focus on this animal that is barreling twards me it begins to bark.....and its a pretty freakin big dog.... this thing is hauling **** and i have like a 1/2 a second to react....im thinking about how to kill this thing and then it bites me....luckily it only got the pants i had on and not my leg....i react by kicking it into the street and i was squaring off to monkey stomp this thing as a speeding van TOTALLY smashed it.....the guy in the van stopped and came back he jumped out and was asking if i was ok..i said yea im ok...the owner of the dog came out yelling at me about killing his dog.....i reminded him of the laws in Tampa about gates and dogs and the general public....he backed down and went to retrieve the corpse of his dog....that is 1 of like 5 attacks ive been in....that one was mild and ended quickly...ask me about the wild boar...that was a fun time for all

Let's not be too graphic...this is a family friendly site (some younger kids might not want to read things like that).

Dog attack here too. Got the left side of my face. Some scarring but cant change it so I dont let it get to me.
After earthquake in Sylmar (71?) I was playing outside and dog was freaking out and attacked the crap outta me. I am now 40 , was about 7 then and I am just now where I can handle a strange dog getting near me.
YOur post really isnt all that graphic. Just being truthful. I think kids see worse on their gameboy or x box or even in a spongebob cartoon. lol
I am glad your okay and thank God for van drivers huh?

I agree. If that's "graphic", I should hate to see the Barney-the-stupid-dinosaur drivel which would be considered "innocuous".

I would have stomped the dog as well if it hadn't been turned into street pizza.

there was a dog in my neighborhood when i was younger that could jump it's fence. i was an altar boy and rode my bike to church every morning to do the 7:30 am mass.(mostly AA people)
anyway, this dog would chase me every morning like clockwork. i always sped up before that house and always barely escaped down the hill. one morning as i was flying past my foot slipped off of my brand new "beartrap" metal pedals and as i slowed the dog came running up to chomp down on my foot, missed, and bit down full force on the pedal. he yiped and ran back home and i never saw it again. i love dogs almost more than people but one sure didn't like me!

Well, this type of thread is very open to some graphic comments. I'd have edited your thread if I felt it was totally out of line...

Anything on this site should be able to be ready comfortably by an 8 year old...many of our users have children that also read with them and FTE has higher standards for language than other sites you might visit...

Frankly, there is no need to for users to get overly graphic...we can get the idea by a subtle description. I am mentioning this now to try and prevent someone from taking it overboard.

I myself have never been attacked by anything. My uncle had a german sheppard that was police trained (he is a police officer). It couldn't enter the service due to a bad hip, but once my dad was standing in the yard and my uncle said to his dog "attack" and pointed at my dad. The dog flew at my father at full speed (he was a good distance away). Once the dog got about 10 feet away from my dad (who was almost peeing his pants) my uncle said "stop" and the dog went down to a jog and just briskly walked by..turned around and jogged back to my uncle for a treat.

My dad was ticked.

I got an experience with a dog, but the problem is I was too young to remember it. As a kid, I was afraid of dogs. Don't get me wrong, I liked dogs, but from a distance.

Well, it turns out that as a baby, I was playing with some "overly friendly" dog and I guess I was traumatized. From what I'm told, I was great with dogs up until that point. Apparently, I just didn't like being licked all over my face.

Now, I'm fine with dogs. My dog actually plays rough for a little dog, but he's afraid of his own shadow. But as long as he's around me or my wife, he thinks he's a guard dog.
