more than likely, you will have to use shorter pushrods or shims.

Last week I got my 302 heads back from machine shop. My heads were shaved or milled slightly. I asked the machine shop and they said they removed minor amount to true up surface and I should use the stock length pushrod. So ask your machinist what they recommend.

What year heads do you have and how much was shaved? If to much is shaved then you may have a fitting problem with your intake. Non adjustable rocker heads could need shims if to much has been milled off.
