Sluggish 351W
I have a remanufactured 351 in a '77 econoline that I recently purchased from a friend. The motor is does not have many miles on it. It runs well and does not smoke. It does not seem to have as much power as it should. I know since it is a mid 70's van, it probably has a highway gear in it. Probably a 2.75. I know it is not going to be a race car, but could anyone give me some tips to make it run better. I have already installed an edelbrock intake and a holley 600 carb on it.

A lot of power is left on the table due to an imporperly tuned engine. Timing and jetting play a big role in that. What is your base timing set at and what is your total timing and what RPM?
