C4 help

Hey folks, need to get a C4 rebuilt for my Ranger, Know of any good places and what I should expect to pay? Anyone have a C4 that is in good shape they need to get rid of?

what part of the state are you in....? it helps if you fill in your location in the user cp..city,county ect.

Yes. Where are you?
...and it cost me about $1200 to have the auto tranny in my BII rebuilt, although I'm sure you can do better than that...
I might have a lead on a C4 though.

My girlfriend's mom took her BII to AAMCO a couple of years ago. After they made repairs, she was driving to Columbus on I-70 and the thing locked up completely on here. She went to a different tranny place and they said that somebody had welded together a gear that had cracked in two pieces. Just though you should know about that story. If you're doing the work yourself or know somebody who can, I know that Jeg's sells the valve body's for the C4.

If you're looking to buy a complete trans,Buckeye Transmission in Hillsboro Ohio has a good rep around here.A lot of guys get their drag race trannys from them and get good service and good customer support.I know it's not too close to Lancaster but thought I'd give the info anyway.

Thanks for the help, but the deal fell through. Actually I had to back out, my son rolled the family truckster, thus sucking up all my play money for awhile! At least he and my nephew were not seriously injured....man that was a nice Mountaineer!
