What color wire for the temp sensor?

Hi, I have a 69 F-100 that had a 302 in it. When I got the truck, the previous owner had already pulled the 302 out, so I didn't get to see what was wired where. I have a 351c installed now, but nothing is wired up (except the coil which I wired off the solenoid). The wiring coming thru the firewall is kind of hacked up, but anyone can tell me which color wire from the firewall is the one that is for the temp sensor, I can reconnect it.

Not sure if it applies on 69 models, but have 65/66 where wires connect directly to instrument. If the case, suggest check back side of temp guage and look for corresponding wire in engine compartment. In 65/66 f100 the wire is red with white tracer. Suggest purchasing wiring diag. thru Motorhaven if you intend to get into your trucks wiring sys. Well worth the money, invaluable to me in rewiring my truck.

good luck,
dave
