I have 138,000 miles on my 99 XLT and have minor rusting in the 2 rear doors but have quite a bit more on the 2 front doors. I guess warranty work is out of the question 
Too bad since I really love this truck. I just cleaned the rust with some brush and applied some rust inhibitor; then I'll try some rubbing compound then hopefully paint it myself to save on some money. I've got 10 more payments left on the truck

Ok the new quote just came in! $447.53 All the quote says is repair and refinish the door shells, looks like 6 hours on sheet metal work and almost 4 hours for painting, something about a 2-stage refinish formula. Remember this is for 3 doors only, lucky me. I have to fight with the insurance company about the $50.00 betterment charge they want me to pay because the replaced door also had rust.
I still have a couple of payments left on my truck also, I can't believe it had so much rust on it, I want to trade it in but I get depressed looking on line and finding it is only worth about $13,000. That isn't much comparing to the price I paid 4 years ago, what happened? And now I have to contend with the rust on my Expy which still looks like it is brand new on the outside. Who won on that purchase!
